Misty Oaks is a residential subdivision of single family homes located in the Southeast corner of Palm Aire, with two lakes and the 5th, 6th and 7th fairways of the Palm Aire Country Club's Lake Course forming most of the perimeter. Construction began on the first of what would be sixty four custom built homes around 1986, with the last one finished about 2002. With several different custom builders involved and the retention of many of the original large oak and pine trees each home and lot setting seems quite unique. While some of the original owners remain, the ownership is gradually shifting to working families and new retirees, with most of the homes being modernized and updated soon after they change hands. We are a deed restricted community with an active HOA which assures that the high standards for the appearance of the homes and the neighborhood are continually maintained.
Located just a short golf cart ride away is the optional and private Palm Aire Country Club which offers golf, tennis, and social memberships under a variety of plans for it's members.

What is a RfAM?
RfAM stands for Request for Architectural Modification and is the form an owner will fill out to obtain approval for any planned changes to the exterior of their home or the landscaping. The form is available in the “Downloads” section on this site. The completed form should be sent to our Architectural Control Director, Dick Farabaugh at dickfarabaugh@hotmail.com for review. Please allow sufficient time for processing and approval before you plan to start your project.

Are there restrictions on leasing or renting my home?
Leasing/renting is limited to once per calendar year and for a minimum duration of 90 days. The lease form (in “Downloads”) must be completed and sent to Joe Morrison at MOOApres@gmail.com prior to executing a lease. See Article VI, Sec 22 of the Deed Restrictions for more details.
What are “Resolutions”?
Resolutions provide a uniform method for the Board of Directors to review requests by Misty Oaks properly owners by providing consistent criteria for approval or disapproval. These resolutions only apply to sections of the Declaration of Restrictions requiring Board approval, as specified in each resolution. This also provides owners with a guideline prior to submitting a request.
Are pets allowed?
Only animals considered usual household pets (dogs, cats,,birds etc.) are allowed. Farm animals (goats, chickens, pigs etc.) may not be kept on any lot. The quantity is limited by County Ordinance, since kennels are not allowed..
